Both the past and future of the NBA will be on display Wednesday night when the Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kobe Bryant, who hasn’t played a regular season game since January, is expected to return for the Lake Show. It will start his 20th season with the Purple and Gold–an NBA record for most seasons with one franchise–and after the last two seasons have been marred by injury, it will be interesting to see if the 17-time All Star can resemble the Black Mamba again.

Perhaps more compelling than the return of Bryant is the amount of young talent in this game. For the T-Wolves, reigning Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins has the look of a future superstar, while No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns has sky-high expectations as he gets set to make his debut. For the Lakers, D’Angelo Russell and Julius Randle, top-10 picks from the last two drafts, should both be in the starting lineup.

There are 14 games on the slate for Wednesday, and while this may not have the best teams, it has some of the most intriguing individuals to watch. Tip is at 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. If you can’t get to a TV, here’s how to watch online or on mobile, including a free option from Sling TV:
