Landry Jones Injured, Ben Roethlisberger Enters Game for Steelers

Injuries just keep hitting the Steelers.

Landry Jones is today’s starting quarterback for Pittsburgh, subbing in for injured Ben Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger has a foot injury, and although he wore a boot all week, he was able to practice. He is listed as the team’s backup QB today.

Now he’s warming up.

Landry Jones suffered an injury on Pittsburgh’s second drive, forcing the Steelers into a dicey situation as to who should take the snaps. Roethlisberger’s injury last week looked gruesome, but he’s battled his way into pads nonetheless. Now, he may be forced back into action prematurely against the struggling Browns defense.

Update:

That’s not good for the Steelers. Michael Vick, the Steelers third quarterback, is inactive for this game. Roethlisberger is in no way healthy enough for this game, and was only to be used for emergencies.

According to a previous tweet by Kinkhabwala, Heath Miller is the last resort if Roethlisberger is forced to exit the game.
