Barcelona look to follow up their Clasico performance with a mop-up of UCL Group play against Roma.
Barca is five points ahead of Roma in Group E, and needs only a draw to win the group. Roma need a win, and help from Bayern Leverkusen in their match against BATE Borisov, if they also want to see the Knockout phase.
Roma have their work cut out for them against the Barca attack. Without Messi, Neymar and Suarez continue their impressive form. The pair have now scored 20 of the team’s last 21 goals, with the lone outlier coming courtesy Andres Iniesta on Saturday.
Whether that run will be impacted or not by Messi’s return is unknown. Luis Enrique has vowed to get Messi back in the lineup, stating this week that all that’s left for Messi to do is “charge his batteries.”
Today’s game will be available on Fox Sports Two in the US at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Because of an agreement between FOX and ESPN, the game will be available on both companies’ streaming platforms (WatchESPN & Fox Sports GO).
