The sputtering Colts needed a shakeup this week, so they handed OC Pep Hamilton his walking papers. Regardless of whether firing Hamilton was the right move, the Colts are hoping the change will spark an attitude in a team that has underperformed thus far this season.
Stepping up in Hamilton’s place will be former Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski. His first task? Figure out a way to get his offense, which has struggled every week this season, to score on the league’s best defense. A defense that held Aaron Rodgers to a pathetic 77 yards last week. They have 29 sacks and four defensive touchdowns this season, both more than any other team.
If the defense is stout for Luck, it’ll likely be soft for Peyton Manning. The former Colt will face a defense that allows 25.4 points per game, ranked 21st in the league. They’ve also accumulated just 12 sacks, the third-lowest total in the league.
