Sweden’s son is coming home.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be all smiles Wednesday, when his PSG takes the field against Malmo, in the stadium where he career began so many years ago.

Ibrahimovic, who is 34, grew up in Rosengard, a suburb of Malmo. He first broke in with the first team in 1999, and the legend has grown since then. Now with his seventh club, Ibrahimovic told UEFA.com earlier this week how excited he was to return home.

It will be great. That’s where everything began. It’s where I was raised. Meeting them in the Champions League couldn’t possibly be any greater. It feels very surreal. It’s within reach now, and I’m going to do everything I can to enjoy myself when I step onto the field. Everyone else should enjoy it too, because I don’t think it will happen again in football. Not when it comes to an individual player who has been on a journey like mine, who then gets to return to the city where it all started. I’ll cherish it. It’ll be a day to remember.

To celebrate his homecoming, Ibrahimovic has rented out the main square in Malmo to broadcast the match. He’ll surely receive a hero’s welcome, as it was Ibrahimovic who led Sweden past Denmark over the break and into the EURO 2016 pool.

As far as the actual match goes, PSG can clinch their spot in the knockout phase with a win in Sweden. Malmo is tied with Shakhtar at the bottom of Group A, so any points would go a long way towards Europa League.

Today’s game will be available on Fox Sports One in the US at 2:45 p.m. Eastern. Because of an agreement between FOX and ESPN, the game will be available on both streaming platforms (WatchESPN & Fox Sports GO).
