In a world where the franchise running back is all but extinct, Matt Forte and Adrian Peterson are beacons of a different time. Both running backs have spent their entire careers with their team, and both have been dynamic players their entire career. They’ll meet Sunday, when two NFC North teams collide in an important November matchup.
The Vikings want to have a shot at the NFC Wild Card, but to do that they’ll have to get through Chicago. The Vikings have won at Soldier Field just twice since 2000, and are winless in their last seven visits.
At 2-4, this is almost an elimination game for the Bears. Jay Cutler will be happy to have a healthy Alshon Jeffrey back to the offense, but it might be too little too late for a Bears team that has struggled all season.
