Brandon Marshall & Eric Decker Week 14 Fantasy Value vs. Titans

It’s time to get Green.

The New York Jets wide receiver tandem of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker has been nothing short of absurdly productive over the last two weeks and there’s no reason to expect otherwise heading into the squad’s Week 14 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

Marshall has found some incredible rhythm with Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick recently and is fresh off a 131-yard performance against the New York Giants last week that saw him haul in 12 of 13 targets, including the game-tying touchdown. Oh, and for good measure, Marshall also became the first player in NFL history to reach 1,000 receiving yards in a season for four different teams. That’s a good thing.

Meanwhile Decker added his own 100-yard performance last week, the first of a season that has been a bit injury-plagued. The veteran appears to be the picture of wide receiving health now, however, and if he can get open in the middle of the field – watch out.

So, why should fantasy owners go after one (or even both?!?) of Gang Green’s wideouts? Easy. Their opponent. And their height.

In other words, the Titans are not particularly tall and they are especially not-tall in the secondary. In fact, the tallest Tennessee DB is listed at 6-foot-1. Marshal is 6-foot-4 and Decker is 6-foot-3. Memo to Ryan Fitzpatrick; throw high and throw often. These guys are going to come down with the ball.

It’s probably not in your best interest to start both Jets receivers. You may want to, but you’re really just splitting your stats here. So, who gets the leg up? Marshall.

The veteran wideout isn’t only tall, he’s also athletic and, recently, consistent. Marshall leads the team with 10 touchdown receptions this season and six of them have come in the last five games. That’s some fairly ridiculous production and it should be more than just a little appealing to fantasy players lucky enough to be in the postseason this week.

So, go forth fantasy players and seek out the Jets wide receivers. It will be worth it.
