The 2015 Heisman Trophy winner is official. It went the way many expected as Derrick Henry took home the award. The above is a video of Henry’s full acceptance speech.
Henry took time to thank his family, his hometown of Yulee, Florida and his grandmother who is in the hospital.

The running back was recognized tonight for his spectacular season. Henry was one of the most impressive running backs in the country and Alabama played one of the most difficult schedules in college football. His physical running style is a throwback to running backs of the past in the current spread era.
The results show Christian McCaffrey came in a close second.
