The top scorers in the Premier League collide Saturday as the Leicester looks to hold on to their table lead against Everton.
England’s top scorer is Jamie Vardy, whose consecutive goal streak vaulted Leicester to the top of the table. And while the season isn’t nearly over, there’s some stock in the early table lead. A win today would keep the Foxes at the top spot at Christmas, a trait shared by four of the previous champions.
Standing in their way today are Everton, who have developed their own firepower. Romelu Lukaku is on a scoring streak of his own; one that stands at seven games heading into today. The Belgian international is having the best run of form in his career, but it hasn’t translated to success for the club. Everton has just three points in as many matches, and sits at tenth in the table.
