Today’s Pats-Texans game has been flexed into Sunday Night Football.

It’s a big one too, as both the Patriots and Texans are fighting for their playoff lives. New England is slightly more secure at 10-2, but last week’s loss to Philadelphia dropped them out of that precious top seed in the AFC. Houston suffered a similarly disappointing loss, but one that means much more to their season.

Houston is in a fight for playoff survival in the AFC South, where three teams are within two games of each other. The Texans four-game win streak was snapped last week in Buffalo, dropping them to 6-6. Luckily for them, the Indianapolis Colts are also struggling. Both teams are 6-6 heading into Week 14, with a head-to-head matchup to determine the division next week in Indy.

Major difference makers are dealing with injuries heading into tonight. The Patriot’s offense sputtered without Gronk last week, but al signs point to him dressing for tonight’s game. It’s possible Gronk will only dress, and play sparingly in tonight’s game. For Houston, J.J. Watt will play with a cast wrapped around his broken hand. Watt suffered the injury during practice this week, and has never missed a game in his NFL career.
