Every game is important for Madrid, who are trying to rebuild their confidence after a diastrous few weeks.

Los Blancos have already clinched the top spot in Group A, but will want a strong performance to wrap up Champions League play today.

“Against Malmo we want to win and maintain the confidence that we have. It’s not a game that has a lot riding on it, but to win would be another important boost,” said Rafa Benitez earlier this week. It is still unknown if Benitez will remain with the team next season, but the team is starting to turn around, leading Getafe 4-0 at halftime over the weekend.

“Our first half against Getafe was one of the best of the season. We have to repeat this as many times as possible.”

For Malmo, it will be the last match for manager Age Hareide. Malmo is tied with Shakhtar at the bottom of Group A, and Hareide has stated that Malmo will be “playing for a point” today against Madrid.
