The latest edition of the Holy War begins in Las Vegas on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. BYU and Utah have a longstanding rivalry and as fate would have it will play each other in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Both teams enter the contest at 9-3. According to OddsShark, Utah enters the matchup as a slight 2.5 point favorite.

Utah is 8-2 against the spread in its last 10 games against BYU. They have not fared as well this season. The Utes are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games, while BYU is 4-2 against the spread.

The over-under is set at 51 points. The total has gone under in 15 of Utah’s last 23 games.

The OddsShark computer projects a 32.4-28.6 upset for BYU. The computer recommends taking the points and the over on the point total.

Heavy is going against the computer. Travis Wilson will lead the Utes to a victory over in-state rival BYU. We expect a lower scoring contest in Vegas in this rivalry game and with Utah missing DeVontae Booker.

Heavy’s Pick: Utah 21 BYU 17. Utah -2.5. Under on the point total.
