Game Preview: Oklahoma is one of the most experienced teams in the country.

In a world where one-and-done college basketball has become the norm, the Sooners are the odd-team out, a roster filled with seniors and, perhaps most importantly, seniors that can score. They’ll need to do just that on Monday night.

Oklahoma hasn’t beaten Kansas on the road in over 20 years, a string of 13 games and the Jayhawks, while not quite as experienced, are just as good at putting the ball in the basket.

The key for the Sooners? Relax. Sure, they’ve got plenty of experience, but there’s a difference between being excited for a big-time game like this and losing control of it. If Oklahoma can build an early lead, and maintain it without getting into foul trouble, it’s going to be difficult for the Jayhawks to claw their way back in.

Kansas also needs to find a way to stop Buddy Hield. He’s been a one-man wrecking machine so far this year and while he’ll certainly get his points, the Jayhawks need to make sure they, at least, limit those points.
