Let’s get ready for some playoffs.

The Washington Redskins head into the postseason riding a four-game win streak and boast one of the best regular season performances at home of any team in the entire league. The Green Bay Packers, on the other hand, wrapped up the regular season with back-to-back losses and have faced their fair share of offensive hiccups this year.

That’s going to make Sunday afternoon’s postseason tilt all the more exciting. And the odds show that. The line has been moving throughout the week, but the Redskins still hold a bit of a home field advantage and come into the game as 1-point favorites according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.

The key for the Redskins is the ability of the offense to keep rolling.

Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins has been on a serious roll in the later part of the season and just came off a three-touchdown performance in last week’s 34-23 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Despite some early-season controversy, Cousins finished the regular season with 29 touchdowns and 4,166 passing yards.

Interestingly enough, the Redskins haven’t lost a playoff game as the favorite since December 30th, 1984, going 6-0 SU and ATS in that span. Meanwhile, Green Bay hasn’t been an underdog to the Redskins since 1988.

In a more recent betting turn, Green Bay’s offensive woes have hurt bettors. The Packers ended the season with an OVER/UNDER record of 5-1, while hte Redskins ended on an OVER tear, going 4-0 in their last four games.

Still, these are the Packers and Aaron Rodgers is still on this team. That’s why Green Bay is 17-8 SU in its last eight games and 6-1-1 ATS in its last eight games when playing the Redskins.

On the flip side, Washington is 5-2 ATS and 6-1 SU in its last seven games at home.

The total for Sunday afternoon’s NFC matchup is set at 47 points according to the sportsbooks. The total has gone UNDER in six of Green Bay’s last eight games when playing Washington. Meanwhile the total has gone OVER in four of the Redskins last five games.

The OddsShark computer is predicting a 29.3 – 15.8 Washington victory.
