The Carolina Panthers are headed back to the promised land.

With an absolutely dominant performance against the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship, Ron Rivera’s team booked a spot in Super Bowl 50 against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

Super Bowl History

The Broncos, of course, are a storied franchise with a lot of Super Bowl experience. After losing in their first four appearances, they won back-to-back titles during the 1997 and ’98 seasons, and currently sit at 2-5 overall in the Big Game. Their last appearance, an embarrassing 43-8 defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks two years ago, is one they are eager to put behind them.

Carolina, whose first season came in 1995, has been to the Big Game just once. That came at Super Bowl XXXVIII 12 years ago, when they came up short against the favored New England Patriots.
