It’s the final game of the regular season. And the Washington Redskins aren’t planning on taking any plays off.

The NFC East champions, who are already locked into their No. 4 playoff seed heading into next week, head to Dallas to face off against the Cowboys in a Week 17 tilt that is really more about pride than anything else at this point.

The Redskins have already said they plan on playing all of their healthy starters in the game, looking for their fourth straight victory heading into the postseason, but there are still more than a few question marks just how long those starters will actually stay in the game. That’s part of the reason why Dallas comes into the game as 4-point favorites according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.

Aside from simply just wanting to win the game, there’s also a bit of revenge on the table for the Redskins on Sunday afternoon. After all, it was the Cowboys who defeated Washington at home earlier this season in one of the craziest games of the entire year as the squads exchanged touchdowns and miscues in the final moments of the fourth quarter.

The Redskins have been, mostly, pretty bad on the road this year, but have looked to turn that around in the last few trips and come into Week 17 3-6 ATS in their last nine games on the road. However, Washington is just 3-18 SU in its last 21 games on the road and 4-15 SU in its last 19 games when playing on the road against the Cowboys.

On the flip side, there’s not much betting confidence in Dallas at all this year. The Cowboys are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games and 0-5 SU in their last five games at home.

Kellen Moore is expected to get his third straight start at quarterback for Dallas this Sunday, but his numbers have done little to inspire confidence. He’s thrown just one touchdown with four interceptions and a quarterback rating of 45.4. In other words, don’t expect Moore to start lighting up the scoreboard on Sunday afternoon, but if the Redskins second string comes in sooner rather than later, he might be able to make at least something happen.

The total for Sunday afternoon’s NFC East matchup is set at 40 points according to the sportsbooks. The total has gone OVER in five of the Redskins last seven games, but UNDER in five of their last six against Dallas. Meanwhile, the total has gone UNDER in six of Dallas’ last seven games.

The OddsShark computer is predicting a 21.4 – 21 Washington victory.
