Things went from perfect to terrible real quick for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, when veteran linebacker Thomas Davis appeared to suffer a very serious arm injury during the NFC Championship.
Attempting to make something out of nothing, Arizona Cardinals tight end Darren Fells hurdled into Davis, and it was immediately clear the latter had hurt his arm.

Davis, who has overcome three ACL tears and remained one of the most explosive linebackers in the NFL, went back to the locker room after leaving the field. As Dr. David J. Chao, a former NFL head team physician, noted, the outlook on his status isn’t good.

The team eventually ruled him questionable to return:
Injury Update: Thomas Davis (right arm) is questionable to return.
Carolina has jumped out to a big lead against the Cardinals, but this injury to Davis obviously looms very large should the Panthers advance to Super Bowl 50.
