This year, Gaga has plans to release a new album, but hasn’t revealed a date. She also doesn’t exactly know what kind of image she will portray with this one, since she always tries to evolve her look or transform with each album.

Elton John is rumored to be collaborating with Gaga on her new album.

2. Lady Gaga Said She Was Honored to Be Asked to Sing at the Super Bowl

While Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars have the privilege of performing at this year’s halftime show, Lady Gaga has been honored with the task of singing the National Anthem. In an interview with the NFL, Gaga talked about what the gig means to her. Gaga gushed:

I get a chance to sing for all the athletes who have been working so hard their whole lives for this moment, the coaches, as well as the fans in the stands who are waiting for this moment, and I think it really marks what being an American is all about: working hard and that being the ultimate payoff for the champion is hard work.

Gaga says there’s a lot to live up to with “The Star-Spangled Banner,” so it’s important to focus on what the song means.

3. In Recent Months, She Won a Golden Globe Award for Her Role on American Horror Story: Hotel

When Lady Gaga won a Golden Globe Award for her role as The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel, she appeared shaken and speechless. She revealed that acting was always her first dream, but that singing just happened to come first. Lady Gaga spoke to reporters backstage about her playing The Countess, explaining that:

What was nice about playing The Countess is it reminded me that in my own life and in my music, I’m always — at times — playing a character, and I become them fully. And living inside of her was liberating, I’ll tell you, because she doesn’t give a shit about anything.

Gaga hopes to continue to take on acting gigs in the future and actually attended acting school for 10 years while growing up.

4. Lady Gaga Slapped Her Fiance Taylor Kinney When They First Met

Actor Taylor Kinney is the longtime love and fiance of Lady Gaga, asking her to marry him with a heart-shaped diamond. Kinney is a prominent cast member on the show Chicago Fire. Apparently, Kinney and Gaga didn’t get off to the best start when they first met. Kinney was filming with Gaga for her music video “You And I,” and he confessed to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live:

I remember I went up, and we’re rolling, and I kissed her and she didn’t expect it. They cut, and she slapped me. And then it was just awkward. And then the next take, I just did it again and then she didn’t slap me. She didn’t slap me then. We had a good time. I think there was chemistry. I remember it was a late shoot. We were shooting until 4 or 5 in the morning or something like that. We exchanged information. A few weeks went by and we kept in touch, and then that’s that.

Well, at least it all worked out for the best.
