Is the Big East back?

It just might be and, we have to admit, we’re pretty thrilled.

Villanova and Xavier have been among the top teams in the country throughout the regular season and both squads come into the conference tournament looking to grab some serious postseason momentum. And maybe a rubber match between the two squads as well.

But they’re not the only ones looking to punch their ticket to the dance.

Seton Hall, a team picked near the bottom of the Big East barrel in the preseason, has found its shooting rhythm and surprised just about everyone along the way to notch a first-round by and an automatic spot in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Providence is trying to get back on track after a late-season skid that included some questionable offense and some less-than-dominant defense.

And what about the squads settled into a first-round tilt? Can St. John’s, the team of just one conference win this year, stage an upset over Marquette or can Georgetown find some magic again on the Garden floor?

Whatever happens, it’s gong to be good. Read on for all the information on the Big East tournament, including brackets and schedules:
