Just a week after the Tennessee Titans traded away the top pick of the NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns have traded the second overall selection to the Philadelphia Eagles. Like the Rams, the Eagles are undoubtedly targeting a quarterback.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier in the week the Browns were not enamored with this year’s quarterbacks and were looking to trade the selection. Prior to the trade, the Eagles were linked to both Carson Wentz and Jared Goff.

By acquiring the selection, the Eagles will be able to select the quarterback the Rams do not pick. It marks the third major trade this offseason for the Eagles in the post-Chip Kelly era.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson spoke with NJ.com prior to the trade about the quarterbacks. “The guys are pretty even in my opinion. From all the physical tools, both of them are extremely gifted,” Pederson told NJ.com.

In Heavy’s latest mock draft, we have the Rams selecting Goff with the top selection which would likely send Wentz to Philadelphia with the second pick.
