The linebacker they called “Two-Star Scooby” is headed to the NFL. Scooby Wright, who spent most of 2015 injured but was a force against the run in 2014, was finally taken on Day 3 of the NFL Draft. The Browns selected Wright with the 250th overall pick, ending a long wait for the former Arizona Wildcat.

Wright’s real name is Phillip Wright III. Wright’s NFL.com scouting report says his father gave him his canine nickname, but Trey Wingo told a different story after Wright was drafted. According to him, He got the nickname Scooby from his uncle, because it was getting too confusing with three Phillips around. Now uncle doesn’t have to worry, because Scooby is heading to Cleveland.

Wright is one of several boom-or-bust linebacker selections in this year’s draft. He, along with Notre Dame’s Jaylon Smith, UCLA’s Myles Jack, and Alabama’s Reggie Ragland all saw their stock fall due to injury concern. Wright, who was undersized even for a college linebacker, can still be an effective run-stopper in Cleveland as part of what is becoming a talented young defense.

Oh, and he’s pretty excited about going to Cleveland:
