WrestleMania 32’s finished, Payback’s come to a close and now it’s about time WWE gets “Extreme.”
Extreme Rules 2016 is the 2nd WWE special event for the month of May 2016. Roman Reigns and AJ Styles’ Payback main event was filled with some crazy moments. Due to the two match restarts and the extra bodies that were a part of the match’s proceedings, Shane and Stephanie McMahon deemed it fair that AJ got a proper rematch. This time around, Reigns and Styles will engage in an Extreme Rules matchup for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Also on the card is a Women’s Championship Match that falls under Submission rules and The New Day taking on The Vaudevillians for the Tag Team Championship.
This PPV fill of matches with hardcore match stipulations is coming up very soon. Here’s everything you need to know about it before it arrives.
WWE Extreme Rules 2016 will take place on the WWE Network and PPV on May 22, 2016. The official theme song is “Fire” by PVRIS.
WWE Extreme Rules 2016 will emanate from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
