The wait for Bill Simmons’ return to television is just about over.

Simmons, the former ESPN personality, has a new TV show which will air on HBO beginning Wednesday, June 22, at 10 p.m. Eastern.

Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons” will cover a wide range of topics from sports to technology to pop culture.

The premiere episode will feature A-List guests including Charles Barkley and Ben Affleck. The interviews were pre-taped and have been edited down for time purposes.

“Any Given Wednesday” was signed to a 20-episode season and runs for 30 minutes. Each episode will air weekly at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

Simmons, made famous from “The Sports Guy” column on ESPN, had this to say about his new show in a statement:

I’m excited about the show, I’m excited about the title and I’m really, really excited to drop my first F-bomb on TV. We are going to figure out nudity down the road, as long as it’s tasteful.

The show is also bring some heavy-hitters behind the scene, including The Daily Show’s Stuart Miller and BSMG President Eric Weinberger as executive producers and Jason Ross, also of The Daily Show, as head writer.
