France has won Group A in Euro 2016. The French team already knew they would advance, but the question was whether they would be first or second out of the group.
France will play its next match on Sunday, June 26 at 9 a.m. Eastern. The opponent is still to be determined. It will be one of the third place teams in Groups C, D or E. The team will not be determined until later in the week when these three groups have completed group play.
Heading into the tournament, the French squad was the favorite to win Euro 2016 at home. France has not disappointed and won its first two matches to open up the tournament.
The path to the title will become increasingly difficult as the field narrows to 16.
