WATCH: USA Called for Controversial Handball vs. Colombia

It was not the way the United States wanted to start Copa America. After Colombia scored a goal at the 7′ mark they were called for this controversial handball towards the end of the half. DeAndre Yedlin appears to turn his body away from the ball but was still given the penalty.

James Rodriguez made the penalty kick to give Colombia a 2-0 lead. Was it a handball? Based on Twitter’s reaction, it depends on who you ask. The ball certainly grazed Yedlin’s hand, but it not look intentional in the replays.
