Clemson takes on Georgia Tech in the Tigers first ACC game of the season. According to OddsShark, Clemson is favored by 9.5 points.
The over-under is set at 58 points. The OddsShark computer projects a Clemson 42-17.9 victory over Georgia Tech. The computer is taking Clemson to cover the spread and the over on the point total.
There is reason for skepticism of Clemson in this matchup. The Tigers had a short week to prepare for Georgia Tech’s triple-option attack.
Clemson has also struggled at times this season particularly on offense. However, the Tigers are coming off their best game yet this season after defeating South Carolina State 59-0.
According to Football Study Hall, the F+ projections also favor Clemson like the OddsShark computer. The F+ projects a 16 point win for the Tigers.
While Georgia Tech’s offense will keep the game close early, Heavy likes Clemson’s chances of extending their lead in the fourth quarter. DeShaun Watson is a playmaker and will be the best player on the field tonight. The Tigers have enough young and talented players on defense to make enough stops against Georgia Tech to come away with the victory.
