Box Score

It was the Dallas Cowboys night at AT&T Stadium as they defeated the Chicago Bears 31-17. Rookies Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott were the story of the Sunday Night Football matchup.

Prescott finished 19-of-24 for 248 yards and one passing touchdown. He also had four carries for 36 yards and a touchdown. Elliott rushed for 140 yards and had two receptions for 20 yards. The Cowboys dominated from the start and jumped out to an early lead.

The Bears came into the game depleted with injuries and started backup quarterback Brian Hoyer. Chicago looks to be a team in need of a bye week but will not get one until the beginning of November. Bears running back Jeremy Langford left the game early with an ankle injury. Rookie Jordan Howard looked good in his absence. Howard had 9 carries for 45 yards and 4 receptions for 47 yards.

Here’s how the Cowboys came away with the victory.

Dak Prescott Rushed for the Game’s First Touchdown

Prescott connected with Jason Witten on a long pass just prior to this play. The Cowboys challenged the play and thought Witten had scored a touchdown. Witten stepped out at the one yard line. The very next play Prescott scored a touchdown on this quarterback sneak to give the Cowboys a 7-0 lead.

Prescott Had a Great First Half

After the first half, Prescott was 12-of-15 for 139 passing yards. He also had four carries for 36 yards and a touchdown. Prescott still had not thrown an NFL touchdown pass in the regular season.
