After being suspended for 30 days for a violation of the WWE’s wellness policy, Roman Reigns is making his way back to the top. At Clash of Champions recently, he was finally able to defeat Rusev, claiming the United States Championship for himself.
Roman Reigns is 31 years old, and he lives in Florida with his wife and daughter. He’s married to 29-year-old Galina Becker, and while the couple generally goes out of their way to keep their marriage to themselves and out of the media, there is some information about Galina and Roman out there.
Here’s what we know about Roman Reigns and his wife Galina Becker.
1. Galina Becker Was Born in Jacksonville, Florida

Galina Becker was born on March 11, 1987, in Jacksonville, Florida, according to Georgia Tech’s website.
Her parents are Kevin and Mildred Becker, and she has two sisters, Molisa Cooper and Undine Becker.
Roman Reigns, meanwhile, was born on May 25, 1985 in Pensacola, Florida, which is about five hours away from Jacksonville. The couple currently resides in Tampa, Florida.
With a job that takes him on the road so often, Reigns said in an interview on Unfiltered With Renee Young that the most difficult part of marriage for him is just being there for his wife and child.
“You have to know how to give and take…that’s the toughest part that I deal with now is just being there,” he said. “But we’re good about that.”
2. They Met at Georgia Institute of Technology

Many WWE superstars are in relationships with their coworkers, such as Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella, John Cena and Nikki Bella, and Dean Ambrose and Renee Young to name a few. But that’s not the case with Roman Reigns, who met his wife, Galina Becker, in college, according to Player Wives.
Reigns and Becker met while they were both students at Georgia Institute of Technology. It was here where Reigns performed not as a wrestler but as a football player, a member of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
On Unfiltered With Renee Young, Reigns said that things were definitely easier for him and Galina when they first met, though over time any relationship gets more difficult.
“When we first met we were just having fun,” Reigns said. “And we were kind of like glued to each other and just not having a care in the world or [worrying] about anyone but us, but I’m a grownup now.”
Reigns went on to say that there’s no secret to a good romance and that it’s hard work.
3. Galina Was on the Track and Field Team in School

Reigns and Becker both have a background in athletics; while Reigns played football growing up, Becker was involved in track and field.
According to Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets’ official athletic website, Becker lettered in track for three seasons while at Mt. Pleasant High School in San Jose, California. She also won regional titles during her sophomore and junior years there.
She continued to pursue track and field at Georgia Tech, and during the 2005-2006 season, she performed at the Georgia Tech Invitational, running 14.92 in the 100-meter high hurdles.
Becker majored in management while at Georgia Tech; Reigns also majored in management.
4. They Were Married at Disney’s Castaway Cay

Roman Reigns and Galina Becker were engaged on February 26, 2012, and they held their wedding ceremony two years later, in December 2014, according to Uproxx.
They were married at Disney’s Castaway Cay, a private island in the Bahamas owned by The Walt Disney Company and which serves as a destination for the Disney Cruise Line.
Going with the Disney theme, Reigns and Becker’s wedding song was “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, Reigns revealed in his interview on Unfiltered With Renee Young.
Reigns and Becker’s wedding took place while Reigns was away from the WWE due to an incarcerated hernia. He returned to action not long after the ceremony, getting back into the ring at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs on December 14.
5. They Have an Eight-Year-Old Daughter

Roman Reigns and Galina Becker have an eight-year-old daughter named Joelle Anoa’i. She was born in 2008, and the couple often calls her JoJo. When Becker and Reigns were married in 2014, JoJo was involved in the wedding.
In 2014, Roman Reigns appeared with his daughter in a PSA about father’s being involved in their children’s lives.
“The smallest moments can have the biggest impact on a child’s life,” he says in the ad. “Take time to be a dad today.”
The couple’s daughter has actually briefly been involved in a Monday Night Raw storyline. In a June 2015 episode of Raw, Bray Wyatt held up a photo of Joelle Anoa’i in order to threaten Reigns, and Reigns was actually legitimately annoyed at this. He said in an October 2015 interview that he “wasn’t crazy about it.”
However, he said that ultimately he felt the WWE didn’t go over the line because the photo was from that fatherhood PSA he did, rather than being a photo of Reigns and his daughter at home.
Reigns joked in an interview with Renee Young on the WWE Network that he “accidentally looked” when his daughter was being born.
“I saw stuff that I’ve never seen before, and especially in that region…it’s just, there’s a lot going on,” Reigns said. “Things are coming out. That’s not normally what happens.”
Reigns also added that he would “love to” have more children and that he’s looking forward to eventually retiring and being at home for his wife and children most of the time.
