WATCH: SmackDown Superstar Alexa Bliss Calls Out Becky Lynch on Talking Smack

On Talking Smack this week, WWE superstar Alexa Bliss impressed fans with a compelling promo, during which she took aim at SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

In a conversation with Renee Young and Daniel Bryan, Bliss, who became the #1 contender on SmackDown this week, said she fully understands Becky Lynch’s weaknesses and is ready to exploit them.

“I’ve watched her for years,” Bliss said. “I saw her walk in on her first day at NXT. I know her weaknesses. I know her flaws…And I know how to counter pretty much everything that she can do.”

Bliss went on to call Carmella “technically insane” for going after her over and over again even though she continues to be defeated. A clip from the promo was uploaded on the WWE’s official YouTube channel this afternoon, although the full segment lasted for several minutes and is only available on the WWE Network.

Not highlighted in the clip above was a great moment when Alexa Bliss says that she sacrificed her childhood in order to train for wrestling. This is an aspect of her character fans had never really seen before, but just that one piece of dialogue added a lot of complexity to Bliss’ constant temper tantrums and childlike attitude.

Talking Smack is a SmackDown Live aftershow that airs on the WWE Network, and it slowly becoming one of the best things the company produces. Each week, hosts Renee Young and Daniel Bryan chat about the night’s results and speak to several superstars, who all appear on the program in character. The added time really helps to flesh out some of the ongoing feuds, and it’s where the current conflict between The Miz and Daniel Bryan all started. In a recent Talking Smack episode, Bryan called The Miz “cowardly” and The Miz blew up at him in a clip that racked up nearly two million YouTube views.

On SmackDown Live this week, Alexa Bliss defeated Naomi, Nikki Bella, Carmella, and Natalya in a fatal five-way match. This earned her the right to face Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at No Mercy, the upcoming pay-per-view that airs on October 9th. The main event of No Mercy will be a triple threat between AJ Styles, John Cena and Dean Ambrose.
