Tuesday night marks the beginning of the 2016-17 NBA season, with the reigning champion Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the first game of the season. LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and the Cavs host the New York Knicks, with the game scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on TNT. The start time was moved up a half-hour to accommodate Game 1 of the World Series between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs, and the Cavaliers will receive their rings prior to tipoff.

The ring ceremony and unveiling of the banner will be shown live on TNT, which will begin its coverage with a pregame show starting at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night marks a new beginning for the Knicks, as Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis have a new head coach in Jeff Hornacek and some new teammates in Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Courtney Lee and Brandon Jennings.
