Prediction

The freakout for the return of Tom Brady is real.

New England is on the road and still the biggest favorite of the week, and it’s looking like it’ll be the most popular bet of the weekend. But the Patriots are 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games, and were beaten handily in their last trip to FirstEnergy Stadium in 2010.

That’s expecting Brady to turn around the Patriots offense, who were shut out last week in Buffalo. Brady will certainly be more capable of finding Julian Edelman and Gronk, but the key to Sunday will be LeGarrette Blount. The beefy back has been carrying the workload while the Patriots struggled, but could breakout against a defense that allowed 112 yards to Washington’s Matt Jones last week.

The Browns still have Cody Kessler as their quarterback, and that makes them hard to back no matter how many points they get. Kessler actually completed 70 percent of his passes on 40 attempts last week, and could really use Corey Coleman and Josh Gordon to boost the passing game. The Browns offense has especially struggled in the second half this season, having only scored 24 points through four games.

The Browns have looked solid early all season, and 39-year old Brady won’t start his 2016 season perfect. The Browns just might cover this one.

Prediction: Patriots 31, Browns 20(Patriots against the spread, Over 47)
