After a brief hiatus, college football fans get their Saturdays back with a slate of six games on Saturday, December 17. The games kick off at noon Eastern with the Celebration Bowl while the New Orleans Bowl closes out the day at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Grambling State squares off with North Carolina Central in the Celebration Bowl at 12 p.m. Eastern on ABC. Grambling has won ten straight games and enters the bowl game as SWAC champions. NC Central has won nine straight games and won the MEAC championship.

New Mexico takes on Texas-San Antonio in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl at 2 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. New Mexico gets to host the game at their home stadium against a UTSA squad that turned things around under first year head coach Frank Wilson.

In arguably the marquee matchup of the day, the Las Vegas Bowl kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on ABC featuring Houston and San Diego State. Houston once had an outside shot to sneak into the College Football Playoff after their upset of Oklahoma to start the season before their mid-season slide. San Diego State has one of the best running backs in the country in Donnel Pumphrey who rushed for 2,018 yards and 16 touchdowns this season.

The Cure Bowl features UCF and Arkansas State. The game kicks off in Orlando, Florida at 5:30 p.m. Eastern on CBS Sports. UCF gets to play this bowl game in their home stadium before they built their on-campus stadium. After a winless season, first year head coach Scott Frost led the Knights to a bowl game.

Appalachian State takes on Toledo in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. The game kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. Both teams enter the contest at 9-3 with an opportunity to reach 10 wins.

The R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl is the last game of the day and kicks off at 8 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. The game features Southern Miss taking on Louisiana-Lafayette. Each team should get a solid turn out from their fans with the campuses just a short drive from New Orleans.
