For Christmas, the NFL has gifted us with one of the league’s best matchups. Not only are the Steelers hosting the Ravens in the national spotlight, a Steelers win would clinch the AFC North and a home playoff game for Pittsburgh.
The Steelers have won five straight to chase down the Ravens in the AFC playoff race, but the Ravens currently hold the tiebreaker. If the Ravens win on Sunday, they have a win-and-in scenario Week 17 against the Bengals.
Baltimore bounced back from their loss at New England to beat the Eagles last week, but the cracks in the defense are showing. The Ravens have now surrendered 56 points in two weeks of action, and now must deal with Pittsburgh’s dynamic offense.
The Ravens may seem outmatched, but they’ve had the Steelers’ number over the last year. They’ve won four straight over the Steelers, although the last three victories have been by a combined 13 points.
