The Miz (c) (with Maryse) vs. Dolph Ziggler (Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship)

WWE TLC 2016

Winner: And still the WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz!

Highlights: Ziggler used an array of strikes to get in some early offense on Miz. Miz then got back to his feet, catapulted Ziggler to the outside and then used a Baseball Slide Dropkick to take him out while he tried to grab a ladder. Both men then began beating each other down on the outside near the set up ladders. Miz used a desperate big boot to ground Ziggler while he looked to grab a ladder. When Ziggler got back to his feet, he shoved the title holder hard into a standing ladder. Ziggler tried to bring a ladder into the ring, but Miz cut him off. Miz picked up a ladder of his own and ran it right into Ziggler’s gut. Miz looked to do it again, but Ziggler cut him off. Ziggler’s offense run didn’t last long after Miz used a Drop Toe Hold to trip up Ziggler into the ladder. Miz climbed into the ring and then grounded Ziggler with another ladder strike when he tried to climb back in. Both men grabbed a quick moment to regain their senses, which was followed up by Ziggler pulling Miz over to his side during a see-saw ladder war. Ziggler then used his Jumping DDT to Miz right on the ladder.

While Miz was down, Ziggler retrieved another ladder and looked to ascend it. But Miz ran in from behind and dropkicked him right into it. Miz then trapped Ziggler into the corner while he used the ladder to further injure him. But then, Ziggler tripped up Miz while he was atop the ladder and caused him to land right on his face. Ziggler then went flying through the air off the ladder with a sweet Elbow Drop. Ziggler then threw Miz into that same ladder for good measure. Another ladder ascension struggle ensued, which saw Miz pull Ziggler off but then eat a Clothesline right after. Ziggler made another attempt to grab the IC Championship, but Miz woke back up just in time to push Ziggler right onto the ring ropes. Then, Miz used Daniel Bryan’s corner dropkicks on Ziggler while a ladder laid atop him. But Ziggler managed to shoved the ladder into Miz when he attempted a final dropkick.

Both men eventually climbed up the ladder, but Ziggler got the better of Miz and threw him off the ladder. Miz then got back to his feet and attacked Ziggler’s leg while using the ladder. Miz continued weakening Ziggler’s leg by using a Shin Breaker on him right onto a ladder. Miz then continued utilizing the ladder as a tool of punishment that hurt Ziggler’s leg some more. Miz used a ladder-assisted Figure Four Leglock and a few strikes to further incapacitate his rival. Moments later, Ziggler looked to land a Superkick but his leg gave out. Miz used this lucky break to drop Ziggler into a ladder with his Skull Crushing Finale. Miz got to the tope of the ladder and got his hands on the title, but Ziggler took the ladder right from underneath him. Miz hung on for dear life, but he came back down to the mat after Ziggler shoved the ladder right into Miz’s leg.

Ziggler struggled to climb up the ladder, but Miz miraculously got back to his feet to stop him. Miz then picked up Ziggler and Powerbombed him hard into a ladder set up in the corner of the ring. Miz set up another ladder next to the one already standing. Miz got to the top of his ladder, but then Ziggler did the same with the ladder set up next to him. Both men struck each other repeatedly until Ziggler headbutted Miz right back down to the mat. All of a sudden, Miz climbed up the ladders and kicked Ziggler right in the “manhood” twice. The Miz then grabbed his championship to finally win the match. After the match, The Miz got on the mike to chastise Daniel Bryan and the live crowd.

Nikki Bella vs. Carmella (No Disqualification Match)

WWE TLC 2016

Winner: Nikki Bella!

Highlights: As soon as the bell rang, both women went right to the outside. Carmella got ahold of Nikki and threw her back in the ring, but Nikki speared her hard and began throwing some nasty punches on her. The action went to the outside again, which led to Carmella landing a Hurricanrana to Nikki right into the steel steps. Carmella then threw Nikki into the security barrier before she finally returned her into the ring for more of a beatdown. Carmella focused her attack on Nikki’s injured leg for an extended period of time with suplexes into the ring ropes. Carmella swung for the fences when she grabbed a Kendo Stick and began whacking Nikki over and over with it. Carmella tried to get the submission win early with her Code of Silence, but Nikki escaped it with some Kendo Stick strikes of her own.

Nikki landed a stiff kick to Carmella on the outside, which led right into both women getting rougher than before. Nikki even landed her signature leaping roundhouse kick to Carmella right off the barricade. Back in the ring, Nikki got in a few more Kendo Stick strikes. Carmella saved herself after attacking Nikki’s weaker limb once again. Nikki shocked the crowd when she used a fire extinguisher to put out Carmella’s “flame.” Nikki then got the win with her Rack Attack 2.0. After the match, Carmella revealed that Natalya was the one who sneak attacked Nikki at Survivor Series.

Baron Corbin vs. Kalisto (Chairs Match)

WWE TLC 2016

Winner: Baron Corbin!

Highlights: Kalisto made sure to grab a bunch of chairs before Corbin entered the ring. Corbin cut off Kalisto’s early chair offense attempts, but he finally got taken down after Kalisto dropkicked him while he sat atop a chair. Then Kalisto used that chair to fly over the top rope and land right on his taller foe. But then Corbin got the upper hand once again and beat the hell out of Kalisto on the outside for a good while. Back inside the ring, Corbin continued assaulting Kalisto and even landed a unique Powerbomb on the smaller Luchador. Corbin set up a chair right into the middle of the corner ring posts, but he ended up running head first into it. Then Kalisto dropped Corbin’s head into a stack of chairs and followed that up by using a Senton Splash on him onto the chairs again.

Kalisto looked to leap onto Corbin on the outside, but Corbin caught him and slammed him down with a Deep Six. Corbin laid a bunch of chairs onto the mat and then went hunting for Kalisto with a separate chair. Kalisto dodged all of Corbin’s chair swings, used a Hurricanrana off the barricade to ground him then dropkicked him for extra measure. Kalisto then climbed to the top rope and landed a Moonsault Stomp onto Corbin while a chair laid atop him. Corbin survived this big move, but Kalisto continued beating him with repeated chair shots. Kalisto looked to land another top rope move, but an unexpected chair shot met him when he went airborne. Corbin then finished Kalisto with an End of Days onto a bunch of chairs.
