Hull City would be relegated if the Premier League season ended today, but they’ve taken seven points from their last four matches heading into Saturday’s visit to face Arsenal.
The Gunners are headed in the opposite direction, losing two straight to fall 12 points behind the league leaders. Despite the distance between them and Chelsea, just three points separate the remaining UEFA qualifying slots.
Hull went winless in nine straight games before breaking the streak against Bournemouth. They are winless in their last 13 contests against Arsenal. Captain Michael Dawson is still recovering from a calf injury and will be out, as will injured striker Abel Hernandez.
Mohamed Elneny is ready to return to action for Arsenal, but Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla are still on the shelf.
