Barcelona continue their quest to repeat as Copa del Rey champions when they visit Atletico Madrid on Wednesday. With Real Madrid eliminated on the other side of the bracket, the winner of this matchup will be a heavy favorite for the final.
Atletico are slipping in the La Liga standings, but they’ve taken key games off Barcelona in past meetings. Barcelona knocked off Atletico in previous Copa del Rey meetings, but Diego Simeone’s Madrid side have twice knocked Barcelona out of Champions League.
Without Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta injured, Atletico have the edge in the midfield. The key for Barcelona is to keep the ball up front, and hope for some magic from their star trio up front. Barca have lost just once in 2017, and trail Real Madrid by just four points in the table.
