Explicit photos and videos of Saraya-Jade Bevis, known in the WWE as Paige, were recently leaked online, and rumors are now swirling that she may not be employed with the company for much longer.

At the center of all of this is Brad Maddox, a former WWE employee who was married at the time that these private photos and videos were taken.

So who is Brad Maddox, and what is his former and current relationship with the WWE and with Paige? Here’s what you need to know.

1. He Debuted on ‘Raw’ in 2012 as a Referee

Most WWE fans were introduced to Brad Maddox in 2012, when he became a referee on Monday Night Raw.

One of his first major roles with the company came during the 2012 Hell in a Cell main event, during which he refereed the match between CM Punk and Ryback. Maddox interfered in the match, attacking Ryback and allowing CM Punk to pick up the victory. After the match, Ryback went after Maddox.

Maddox subsequently cut a promo on the following Raw, during which he was explained to be someone who always wanted to be a WWE wrestler but who was consistently rejected by the company, and so he concocted this master plan to infiltrate Raw by becoming a referee and then making a statement on a massive stage like Hell in a Cell. Vince McMahon then booked a match between Ryback and Maddox, with the stipulation being that if Maddox won, he would receive a WWE contract. Ryback easily defeated Maddox the following week.

A few weeks later, Maddox came back to Raw. This time, he was given the opportunity to earn a WWE contract if he beat Randy Orton, but once again, Maddox was defeated. Maddox kept getting opportunities at contracts, next by facing Brodus Clay, The Great Khali, and Sheamus, but he continued to lose. It was soon revealed that Maddox had been working for Paul Heyman, with it being implied that Heyman orchestrated the Hell in a Cell debacle to make sure his client, CM Punk, won.

After Maddox revealed this information about Heyman, he was rewarded with the job of assistant Raw managing supervisor. A few months later, when Vickie Guerrero was fired from Raw, Maddox became the new general manager.

2. He Was the ‘Raw’ General Manager for One Year

Maddox served as the on-screen general manager of Monday Night Raw for one year.

Before long, Maddox teamed up with Randy Orton, and Maddox helped out Orton by pairing his two rivals head to head. But their relationship eventually turned sour, and Maddox was ultimately placed in a no disqualification match against Orton; Orton won that match, and Maddox had to be carried away from the ring unconscious.

At WrestleMania XXX, Maddox competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, in which he was eliminated by The Great Khali and Cody Rhodes. In May 2014, after a long feud with Triple H, Maddox was fired from Monday Night Raw, and he was barely ever seen on screen again.

Maddox popped up a few times in 2015, but not in any significant storylines. In August 2015, he formed an alliance with Adam Rose, but he only appeared at house shows until November when he showed up on Main Event.

3. He Was Fired in November 2015

Maddox was released from the WWE in November 2015.

This was because Maddox referred to the crowd as “cocky pricks” during a dark match, something that Vince McMahon was not happy about.

“I had a dark match in Indianapolis and I called the Indianapolis crowd ‘pricks,'” Maddox told Rolling Stone at the time. “I didn’t think anything of it. That’s never been a bad word to me. I didn’t think it was inappropriate. Vince [McMahon] was watching and did not like it. That was pretty much the reason.”

Maddox explained in that interview that the locker room was split on this, with about half of the superstars thinking he could say it and half thinking he could not. Maddox says that he personally did not think the phrase was inappropriate at all, especially since this was a segment that did not air on television.

4. He Has Said That Xavier Woods is His Favorite Person Backstage

In a Reddit Ask Me Anything from 2015, Brad Maddox said that his favorite person backstage is Xavier Woods.

In the Ask Me Anything, he also talks about the fact that he frequently travels with The New Day and that Big E is very funny in real life.

One of the recently-leaked videos appears to feature Xavier Woods having sex with Paige while Brad Maddox films them.

5. He Is Married & Has Two Kids

Very little is known about his home life, but in his 2015 Reddit Ask Me Anything, he says that he has a wife, a three-year-old child, and another child on the way.

Xavier Woods is married, and in December 2016, his wife, Jess Watson, announced she is pregnant.

Paige is now dating former WWE superstar Alberto Del Rio.
