Ryan Newman, with some help from a late caution, returned to the winner’s circle with an upset win at the Camping World 500 in Phoenix on Sunday afternoon.

It appeared Kyle Busch was going to coast to the victory after leading for much of the final stage, but with five laps remaining, Joey Logano–who, of course, has a bit of recent history with Busch–went into the wall to bring out the untimely caution.

Newman was able to take the lead on the restart, holding off Busch and Kyle Larson for the overtime victory and his first NASCAR Cup Series win since 2013.

Though it ended up being a mostly disappointing day for Logano, he did nab a playoff point by winning the first stage, while Chase Elliott won the second.
