Yes, this really happened. Barcelona defeated Paris St. Germain 6-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Barca was down 4-0 after the first leg in the French capital. Somehow, just days after coach Luis Enrique announced he would be leaving the club at the end of the season, the team rallied. At half-time, Barca was 3-0, need just one goal to avenge their defeat. Shockingly, it was PSG’s Cavani who scored first in the 60th minute and it looked as though it would be the Parisians who would be going through.
Not to be, Neymar started the party in the 87th minute with a stunning free-kick. Then, he blasted home a penalty in the 90th. That was all just an appetizer for this moment:
It was Sergi Roberto’s first goal in 18 months. What a time to get it? The clip shows the unfortunate PSG defenders standing around hoping for an offside but it wasn’t to be. Barcelona completed the biggest comeback in the history of the UEFA Champions League.
