With a little over a week remaining in the NBA season, teams are making their final playoff push. Likewise, there is a race of a different kind at the other end of the standings.

With 2017 shaping up to be a strong draft at the top, teams outside of the playoffs are keeping an eye on where they stand. While the NBA uses a lottery system to determine the first 14 draft picks, the number of ping-pong balls a team gets is based on their record. The worse a team’s record is the better chance a team has at a higher draft pick.

Washington’s Markelle Fultz, UCLA’s Lonzo Ball, Kansas’ Josh Jackson and Duke’s Jayson Tatum are just some of the top prospects in the June 22 draft. Click here to check out my recent mock draft for the NBA Lottery teams.

Here’s a look at the lottery and draft order courtesy of Tankathon prior to the April 3rd games. Teams listed in bold are currently in the Lottery. While the Lottery order will officially be determined on May 15, teams are listed based on their current record.
