WATCH: Rob Gronkowski Interferes in a WrestleMania Match

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski got involved in a match at WrestleMania on Sunday night.

This came during the WrestleMania kickoff show in an elimination-based match called the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in which 33 men must try to outlast their opponents, and in which wrestlers are eliminated by being thrown over the top rope. Earlier in the show, the cameras had focused on Rob Gronkowski watching the match from the stands.

Towards the end of the match, the action spilled out at ringside, and Jinder Mahal was dominating Mojo Rawley. In real life, Mojo Rawley and Rob Gronkowski are friends, and so Gronkowski began to yell at Mahal from the ring, and Mahal threw a drink at Gronkowski.

It seemed like that was going to be the end of it, but then, suddenly, Gronkowski left the audience, entered the ring, and attacked Jinder Mahal. This was all to help Mojo Rawley, and Gronkowski quickly took his seat in the audience again.

In the end, Mojo Rawley was the winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

As with just about everything that happens in the WWE, this entire affair was scripted. It was determined that Mojo Rawley was to be the winner of the match, and so getting Gronkowski involved was a fun way to make that happen.
