Tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw, the 2017 superstar shake up will take place, and we’re now starting to hear some new spoilers about who is going where.

On today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reveals a few major spoilers about the 2017 draft, with the first being that the plan is still for AJ Styles to be traded to Monday Night Raw. With Styles gone, the top faces of SmackDown Live will evidently be Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura.

It’s still unclear who Styles might be traded for, but there is reportedly some backstage discussion about Roman Reigns possibly going to SmackDown Live. However, at this time, it seems that the WWE is leaning towards keeping him on Raw, and the current plan for Payback, the upcoming Raw-branded pay-per-view, is for Roman Reigns to face Braun Strowman.

In the women’s division, Meltzer says that two major female superstars will swap, and the plan right now is reportedly for Charlotte to go to SmackDown Live and Alexa Bliss to go to Monday Night Raw. This had been previously speculated, but according to the Wrestling Observer, there is some discussion about Sasha Banks going to SmackDown Live as well.

And in the tag team division, The New Day is expected to go to SmackDown Live.

For the most part, these changes all make complete sense. AJ Styles will be able to engage in some fresh storylines on Monday Night Raw, although it’s somewhat surprising that the WWE would want Styles to leave the blue brand right after John Cena went on a lengthy hiatus. If Roman isn’t going to SmackDown, the WWE will need a pretty big name from Raw to come in and replace Styles.

Charlotte going to SmackDown Live also makes sense, as she has really exhausted her storylines with all of the current superstars on Raw, especially Sasha Banks. For that reason, the fact that there’s discussions about Sasha Banks going to SmackDown Live as well is a bit of a shock.

Finally, The New Day going to SmackDown Live is also a logical choice, as the SmackDown tag team division is in need of a makeover and The New Day is one of the most popular modern tag teams in the WWE.

The superstar shake up will take place both on Raw and SmackDown; it seems that the final deals will be announced during these shows rather than the trades actually being determined on the broadcast, as has been the case with some previous drafts. The picks will also not be presented as random, but will rather be the result of behind-the-scenes deals between Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan.
