The Western Conference Finals get underway as the Golden State Warriors take on the San Antonio Spurs. According to OddsShark, the Warriors are favored by 10 points in Game 1. The over-under is set at 211 points.

San Antonio had success against Golden State this season winning two of the three regular season matchups. The Spurs were 2-1 against the spread in those three matchups and the total went over in two of the three games.

The Spurs received good news as star forward Kawhi Leonard will play in the series opener. This will be the first true test for the Warriors who have swept their first two playoff series against the Blazers and Jazz.

While Golden State has been red-hot on the court, they are just slightly above .500 when it comes to covering the spread. The Warriors are 6-4 against the spread in their last ten games. The Spurs are just 5-5 against the spread in their last ten games.

With Leonard, the Spurs have a defender to matchup with Kevin Durant. The challenge is the Warriors also have Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. Look for the Spurs to keep things interesting, but Golden State has too much fire power for the Spurs to beat them at home to open the series.

Heavy does like the Spurs to cover against a hefty point spread. Look for a shootout where the Warriors pull it out in the final minutes to stay undefeated in the 2017 NBA Playoffs.

Heavy’s Pick: Warriors 113 Spurs 108. Spurs +10. Over on the Point Total.
