WATCH: Marcel Dionne Leers at Aly Raisman, ‘Look at Those Legs’

Aly Raisman and NHL Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne shared an awkward moment on stage at the NHL Awards on Wednesday night in Las Vegas. The two were presenting the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, an award meant to honor players who have displayed “gentlemanly conduct” when Dionne said something some did not think was very “gentlemanly.”

The 23-year-old Raisman started the banter innocently enough, talking about how much of an honor it was to be standing next to “one of the old greats.”

“Thank you, thank you. And I am excited to be on stage with three-time Olympic medalist. Look at those legs,” the 65-year-old Dionne said.

The camera then pulled out to show Raisman from the feet up, as she laughed through a round of applause.

That awkward moment came just a couple of weeks after Raisman complained on Twitter about the conduct of a TSA agent. She wrote that a female TSA agent asked if she was a gymnast because of her biceps. “I don’t see any muscles,” a male agent added, then “continues 2 stare at me,” she wrote. “How rude & uncomfortable.”

“I work very hard to be healthy & fit. The fact that a man thinks he judge my arms pisses me off I am so sick of this judgmental generation,” she wrote. “If u are a man who can’t compliment a girls you are sexist. Get over yourself. Are u kidding me? It’s 2017. When will this change?”

As the New York Post notes, some thought Raisman was too “entitled,” but she replied, “I’m not entitled just stating he hurt my feelings. He didn’t have 2 say anything at all. I’m allowed 2 be upset if someone is mean.”

Raisman has shown off her body in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue, which she knew was going to earn her some criticism since she’s seen as a role model for young girls.

“I knew people were going to say that I wasn’t a good role model and all of this stuff,” Raisman told Motto in April. “I did the issue because I love my body. I can express myself in any way that I want. But that doesn’t give anyone the right to judge me. I think being a role model is about being a kind person.”

Dionne himself won the Lady Byng Trophy after the 1974-75 season. He was inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame in 1992.

As for Raisman, she’s won seven Olympic medals, including three golds. She won a gold in Rio last year as a member of Team USA’s gymnastics team.
