In a bombshell lawsuit, former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire has admitted he could be the father of Quynn Lovett’s baby. The Daily Mail was the first to report on the scandal on August 9. Their report says that Lovett, 36, is taking the former Knicks player to court in Florida over child support. Since November 2016, Stoudemire has been paying Lovett $4,333 in what the Mail calls “temporary child support.”

Stoudemire married Alexis Welch, the mother of his four children in December 2012. The pair has been together since 2002. During his bruising NBA career, Stoudemire earned over $150 million.

Stoudemire, who has suited up for Phoenix, New York, Dallas and Miami, never played for Lovett’s favorite team, the Boston Celtics. Lovett makes numerous references to the Celts on her Facebook page. Online records show that Lovett is a native of Medford, Massachusetts, having lived too in Jamaica Plains. Her mother and brother both still live in Massachusetts.

Page Six reported at the time Stoudemire and Rose were supposed to be dating in December 2010 that the then-Knicks star had asked his Twitter fans who Amber Rose was. A rep for the player said at the time, “I think he meant to be funny.” That rep also said that Stoudemire and Rose were “just friends.”

5. Stoudemire Has Said That He Loves His Wife’s Heart the Most

Just after Stoudemire married Alexis Welch in rooftop ceremony in Greenwich Village, he told Essence magazine about his feelings towards his new bride:

Alexis is very charismatic. She’s a passionate mother, and she’s very supportive and encouraging, but I probably love Alexis’ heart the most. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She always has something positive to say about everyone that she meets and that rubs off from a spiritual standpoint.

You want that type of atmosphere around you, you want that same type of character around your children. And so that’s what makes her very special to me.

The couple runs an at-risk youth outreach charity known as The Amar’e and Alexis Stoudemire Foundation. In July 2017, the couple was also pictured vacationing with Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia in Cancun, Mexico.
