PGA Championship 2017: Odds & Field for Quail Hollow

The PGA Championship, the fourth and final major of 2017, heads to Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

That’s good news for Rory McIlroy, who has absolutely owned this course for the majority of his career. With Quail Hollow hosting what is now known as the Wells Fargo Championship every year between 2003 and 2016, McIlroy has seven starts here. And in those starts, he has two wins (2010, 2015), six Top-10 finishes and the course record (61), which he set on his way to a seven-stroke victory two years ago.

As such, it’s no surprise McIlroy is being pegged by oddsmakers’ as the co-favorite at 7-to-1. He likely would be the sole favorite if not for the recent scintillating play from Jordan Spieth, who, in has last three starts, has won the Travelers, won the Open Championship and is in contention at the WGC-Bridgestone.
