Indonesian Goalkeeper Choirul Huda Dies From Match Injuries

Indonesian goalkeeper Choirul Huda was pronounced dead on Sunday morning after colliding with the turf while chasing a ball during a match in Indonesia.

Huda was attempting to make a save when a teammate and opponent slid into him, causing his head to hit the turf in the scramble. His club, Persela FC, suggested that Huda suffered head and neck trauma in the incident. He was rushed to the hospital following the incident, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
