Ascend Mate was introduced at CES 2013 and is already being called the worlds largest phone. Ascend Mate’s 6.1-inch touch screen is bigger than Samsung Note II display which is 5.5-inches.

 

2. Ascend Mate Is Powered By A Quad-Core Processor


Ascend Mate has 2GB of RAM and is powered by a Hi-Silicon 1.5GHz quad-core processor.It also runs off Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

 

3. Ascend Mate Has A Monster Battery Life!


The battery size is 4050mah. That’s good enough to last for 14 hours of internet browsing, 10 hours of watching Netflix or YouTube videos, and it has 22 hours of talking time that you probably won’t use.

 

4.The Touch Screen Can Be Used While Wearing Gloves


Whether you write with your left or right hand, Huawei has made it easy so its users can align the keyboard to the left or right of the screen, making it easy to text with just one hand. You can also make calls or text when wearing gloves.

The Ascend Mate will have both a rear- and front-facing camera. The rear-facing camera will be 8 megapixels. Both are used for taking pictures, capturing video and live video chat.

The Ascend Mate was built with a Guiding Wizard which will help navigate you and take you from point A to point B. When you turn on the Guiding Wizard feature, it opens your devices camera and appears against the camera view. Since the Ascend Mate has dual WiFi receivers your internet speed will increase up to 150Mbps. According to Engadget, it takes about 60 seconds to download a 1GB file.

Instead of having a home screen button like every other phone has, Huawei decided to create an Emotion UI, which helps makes things easier for the user. With the Emotion UI you’ll be able to hide apps at the bottom of the screen.

The Ascend Mate is one of the heaviest smartphones weighing in at 198 grams. The Samsung Galaxy Note II was criticized for its weight at 180 grams.
