According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple and Yahoo are discussing how Yahoo services can be integrated into Apple’s iPhone and iPad.

This wouldn’t be the first time they discussed how the two tech giants could increase their partnerships. In 2007, Yahoo’s Jerry Lang and Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who was also on the board of directors for Apple, joined Steve Jobs on stage when the first iPhone was presented at the Macworld iPhone announcement.

The companies are working on new arrangements, namely, to get more content from Yahoo News and Yahoo Sports preloaded onto more Apple devices that would entail a partnership with Siri.

Yahoo is also looking to provide web-search results to Apple, so Apple wouldn’t have to rely on Google so much. It’s a pretty tough shot since Yahoo is already in a partnership with Microsoft, that is currently powering Yahoo’s Search Service.
