If one of your goals this year is to get in shape, you may want to check out the Fitbit Flex, a waterproof wristband that can track information such as steps and total distance covered. The Fitbit Flex can also keep track of your sleeping habits.

Today, Fitbit announced its list of compatible devices has been updated to support Bluetooth 4.0 on the Samsung Galaxy S4. Fitbit says they’ve been hard at work since the S4 came out, and that many users requested the company try to work with the Galaxy S4.

Although most new phones coming out today have Bluetooth 4.0 hardware, they don’t include third party apps like Fitbit to access the hardware.

Google says it will be standardizing support for Bluetooth 4.0 in a future version of the Android operating system. Fitbit says this standardization will make it easier to support Bluetooth 4.0 on devices in the future.
